Requirements

  • One of the following must be installed on the computer that is running ClearTrace.  (The Express Edition doesn't install the required SMO libraries.)
    • SQL Server 2005 (any edition except Express)
    • SQL Server 2008 (any edition except Express)
    • SQL Server 2008 R2 (any edition except Express)
  • The version of SQL Server installed determines what traces you can read. You can only read traces from that version or earlier. For example, if you have SQL Server 2008 installed you can read traces from SQL Server 2008 or earlier.
  • The data can be stored in SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008 R2.

ClearTrace 2008 (Build 38)

This download contains both the command-line version and GUI version. Please note only the GUI version can create the database. This release includes:

  • Re-enabling statement level analysis
  • Display history for a batch or statement

This ZIP file contains the executables.  There is no installer. It will not create Start Menu entries or check for updates.
